Community Standards

1.1

Overview

Please note: The NOKEY Staff Team reserves the right to update, amend, clarify, or expand server and community rules at any time to ensure a fair, enjoyable, and immersive experience for all players. Staff may exercise discretion in unique situations not explicitly covered by the written rules.

Any changes to server or Discord rules will be publicly announced. These announcements will clearly display both the previous version of the rule and the updated version to maintain transparency and keep the community informed.

Please be aware that NOKEY RP (FiveM) and NOKEY COUNTY (RedM) operate under separate rule sets. While some policies may be similar, each server has its own rules, expectations, and gameplay standards that all community members are responsible for reviewing and following.

2

General Rules

2.1

General Rules

While we are a beginner-friendly/serious RP server, ignorance of our rules does not exempt you from disciplinary action. It is your responsibility to familiarize yourself with these rules and abide by them as closely as possible. By entering NOKEY or using the Discord, you are agreeing to all rules that are presented here.

  • Access to NOKEY RP is a privilege and not a right.
  • NOKEY is an English server. Only English is allowed, both when writing and speaking.
  • You must be 18+ to be in this community. Any roleplay characters are also required to be 18+.
2.2

Zero Tolerance for Hate and Discrimination

NOKEY is an inclusive, open-minded community where everyone deserves to feel welcome and respected. Racism, homophobia, sexism, ableism, body-shaming, hate speech, harassment, and discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated.

If credible evidence is submitted showing a community member using hateful or discriminatory language, NOKEY Staff reserves the right to issue disciplinary action up to and including a permanent ban, whether the behavior occurred within NOKEY or in another public or community-related space.

Nudity is not allowed in public spaces, which includes in-city social media apps. Keep in mind that we welcome content creators to stream our city, and some aspects of nudity will violate TOS on most streaming platforms. Upper body nudity, including on femme-presenting characters, is tolerated and doesn’t violate most streaming TOS. Still, femme-presenting characters should generally have a reason to be topless, i.e., working at a strip club, and not just because you want to be.

Previous relationships or issues with other characters that originated outside NOKEY are not allowed unless BOTH parties consent to continue them here. Dislike, drama, past bias, etc should not be brought here from another server (community) or outside influence. Everyone is entitled to a new start in NOKEY.

  • Claiming that the behavior was “in character,” a joke, or part of roleplay does not excuse it. Treat every member of our community with dignity and respect.
  • Being toxic, or breeding toxicity on any platform (this includes Twitch, Reddit, Discord, etc) can have you removed from the community at any point in time.
  • MUST have a valid 10 seconds of interaction and reasons to rob another citizen (player).
  • While we allow funny character names, we do not allow any sort of offensive names.
  • Do not impersonate other members of the community.
  • A working, quality mic is required; however, you may choose to have your character use “Sign Language” instead by utilizing /me.
  • i.e.: /me Hello! Will display in the city as “Your Name: Hello!” or “Hello would appear on person.”
  • Do not spam your mic or be intentionally loud. Screaming or playing sounds at a high or dangerous volume is not allowed.
  • You are allowed to use a voice changer, but the voice must be realistic and easy to understand. High-pitched, distorted (Must have a Mask on), or other difficult-to-understand voices should not be used.
  • Soundboards can be used if they further your RP, such as for medical RP. They may not be used to troll, be disruptive, drown out others, or with any intention that isn’t legitimate roleplay.
  • Items purchased through Tebex cannot be resold.
  • Assets gifted to the city won’t be reimbursed or returned. This is due to Tebex policy, etc. We also cannot guarantee that gifted assets will be removed from the city upon request.
  • (As of right now, we do not have this feature - still in the making of our Tebex; everything will be via PayPal for the time being.)

  • Player Reports & Bans
  • Player Reports may be submitted through a ticket in the NOKEY RP Discord.
3.2

  • Edited, cropped, shortened, or selectively clipped footage may be rejected at staff discretion.
  • Staff may request the full, unedited recording if additional context is required.
  • Exceptions may be made by staff for severe violations, exploits, cheating, harassment, or situations where obtaining footage was not reasonably possible.
3.3

Reporting Deadline

Reports submitted after twenty-four (24) hours may be denied or closed at staff discretion unless the matter involves severe rule violations, cheating, exploits, harassment, or other circumstances deemed significant by staff.

  • Player reports must be submitted within twenty-four (24) hours of the incident occurring.
3.4

Staff Enforcement

  • Staff may investigate and enforce rules with or without a player report.
  • Staff may use observations, server logs, screenshots, videos, witness statements, or other evidence deemed reliable.
3.5

Ban Appeals & Evidence

  • If disciplinary action is issued, staff are not required to disclose all evidence used in the investigation.
  • Evidence may be withheld when disclosure could reveal confidential sources, staff methods, reports made in confidence, or information that may compromise future investigations.
3.6

Submitting false reports, knowingly misleading staff, withholding critical context, weaponizing the report system, or repeatedly reporting matters that should reasonably remain in roleplay may result in administrative action.

  • Player Reports are intended for legitimate rule violations.
3.7

In-Character Conduct

  • If a rule violation occurs during roleplay, players are expected to continue roleplaying the situation to the best of their ability.
  • DO NOT break character to accuse another player of rule violations, threaten reports, or argue server rules in-game.
3.8

Baiting

  • Intentionally provoking, manipulating, or baiting another player into breaking server rules or roleplay standards is prohibited and may result in administrative action.
3.9

Staff Discretion

  • Staff retains the right to investigate, review, accept, deny, or act upon any report at their sole discretion.
  • Attempting to exploit technicalities, omissions, or loopholes within these rules will be treated as a violation of the rules themselves.
4

Graphics and Visual Modifications

4.1

Custom minimaps, crosshairs, scopes, tracers, or hit effects.

  • If your computer requires low-end graphics settings, inform a staff member to ensure your experience in NOKEY is enjoyable and isn’t for shooting advantages.

Random Deathmatch and Initiation

6.1

Random Deathmatch (RDM)

NOKEY RP is a roleplay-first community. Gunplay should be the result of roleplay and escalation, NOT the replacement for it. Players are expected to create MEANINGFUL scenes and give others a reasonable opportunity to participate before violence occurs.

  • Random Deathmatch (RDM) is intentionally attacking, injuring, or killing another player without a valid and active roleplay reason.
  • Random Deathmatch (RDM)
  • You may not randomly attack, shoot, stab, run over, or otherwise harm another player without a LEGITIMATE roleplay reason.
  • Simply disliking someone, recognizing their clothing, knowing their organization, or wanting their belongings does not automatically permit you to attack them.
6.2

Clear Initiation Is Required

Initiation must:

Example:

For example:

Not acceptable:

  • Before using lethal force, there must be clear and understandable initiation.
  • Be directed toward the person or group involved.
  • Be loud and clear enough for them to hear reasonably.
  • Clearly communicate what you want them to do.
  • Clearly establish consequences if they refuse.
  • Give the player a reasonable opportunity to understand and respond.
  • “Stop following us and leave the area. If you continue following us, we're going to shoot.”
  • Simply yelling something unclear and immediately opening fire does not count as proper initiation.
  • Give Players Time to Respond
  • You may not give someone a demand and immediately shoot them before they reasonably have time to comply.
  • “Put your hands up!” Immediately shoots.
  • Players must be given a reasonable opportunity to react unless they are already actively posing an immediate threat.
6.3

Lethal Force Should Be the Last Resort

Killing another character should generally be the final escalation of a situation. Whenever reasonably possible, players should attempt to build the scene through:

  • Verbal confrontation
  • Threats
  • Negotiation
  • Intimidation
  • Kidnapping
  • Robbery
  • Escaping
  • Non-lethal escalation
  • This includes interactions involving law enforcement. (PD)
  • The goal is to create roleplay, not rush toward a gunfight.
6.4

Previous Conflict Does Not Create Permanent KOS

Examples that do not automatically create KOS include:

  • Having previous problems with another player or organization does not mean you have permanent permission to kill them on sight.
  • They robbed you earlier.
  • They shot you yesterday.
  • Your gangs do not like each other.
  • They insulted you previously.
  • You recognize them from another situation.
  • Your organization has “beef” with their organization.
  • New interactions should generally require new roleplay and appropriate escalation unless the players are still involved in the same active and continuous scenario.
  • There is no permanent KOS because of gang rivalry or personal beef.
  • (Gang war may have different rules)
6.5

Hostages & Compliant Players

Lethal force may become reasonable if the hostage:

  • If you rob, kidnap, or take someone hostage and they are complying with your reasonable demands, you may not kill them simply because you are finished with the scene.
  • A compliant hostage should not be executed without a legitimate roleplay reason that developed during the situation.
  • Attempts to escape
  • Attacks their captors
  • Pulls a weapon
  • Creates an immediate threat
  • Intentionally refuses reasonable demands after being clearly warned
  • Taking someone hostage does not automatically permit you to kill them.
6.6

Weapons, Initiation & NVL

If a player is:

If someone already has you at gunpoint and has a clear advantage over you, you are expected to value your character's life and respond realistically. You may not recklessly pull out a weapon, attempt to shoot them, or ignore reasonable demands simply because you believe being threatened gives you automatic permission to fight back.

Example:

If someone points a firearm directly at you and says:

Statements such as:

  • Simply seeing another player with a weapon does not automatically give you permission to attack or kill them.
  • However, there is an important difference between possessing a weapon and actively using that weapon to threaten someone.
  • Aiming a firearm directly at you
  • Holding you at gunpoint while giving commands
  • Actively firing at you
  • Attempting to attack you with a weapon
  • Clearly presenting an immediate threat to your life
  • Then the situation should be treated as an active threat, and additional verbal initiation may not always be required before defending yourself.
  • At the same time, NVL rules still apply.
  • If someone walks past you with a rifle on their back or a firearm in their hand, that alone does not permit you to shoot them.
  • “Put your hands up.”
  • You are now being actively threatened. You should respond according to the situation and NOKEY's NVL rules.
  • Having the right to defend yourself does not override the requirement to value your life.
  • Kill-on-Sight (KOS) Zones
  • There are no permanent KOS zones. You cannot create your own KOS zone.
  • “This is our territory.”
  • “Everybody knows not to come here.”
  • “This is our gang block.”
  • “They entered our compound.”
  • Do not remove the requirement for roleplay initiation.
  • Players entering gang-controlled or organization-controlled territory must still be given appropriate roleplay before lethal force is used.
  • The ONLY KOS Zones Are Active Airdrop Zones
  • The only recognized KOS zones within NOKEY RP are active Airdrop Zones that are officially marked on the map.
  • If an airdrop zone is not currently active and marked, it is not a KOS zone.
  • Normal RDM and initiation rules apply everywhere else.

Roleplay Rules

7.1

Random Deathmatch (RDM)

Random Deathmatch is when someone is killed or hurt intentionally without any valid roleplay reason. To ensure a fair and enjoyable gaming experience for everyone, we've established clear rules regarding player interactions and combat situations:

Resorting to Lethal Force: Killing another character should always be a last resort. Exhaust all other options and follow realistic escalation before resorting to lethal actions, even when dealing with law enforcement personnel.

Verbal Initiation Requirement: Before attempting to kill another player, you must provide verbal initiation. This can be in the form of a warning or a clear indication of the consequences of continued actions. For instance, you might say, "If you persist in following me, there will be consequences."

Hostage Situations: If you rob or take another player hostage and they comply with your demands, you are not permitted to kill them. Lethal force should only be used if they resist or attempt to escape. It's important to maintain logical consistency within roleplay scenarios.

Restrictions on Hitman and Serial Killer Roleplay: Engaging in hitman or serial killer roleplay requires adherence to specific guidelines to prevent random acts of violence. Merely claiming your character is a murderer without sufficient backstory or justification is insufficient. If you wish to portray such characters, please seek approval from staff members to ensure compliance with the rules.

By adhering to these guidelines, we can foster a richer and more immersive roleplay environment while maintaining fairness and respect for all players. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to our staff for assistance.

  • Avoiding Random Deathmatch (RDM): Randomly killing or harming another player without a valid roleplay reason is strictly prohibited. Every action should be grounded in meaningful interaction and narrative development.
  • Initiation Protocol: You must never initiate combat without any prior interaction with the other player. Engaging in conflict should only occur after meaningful engagement or roleplay exchanges.
  • Failed Attempts Still Count: Even if your attempts at random deathmatch fail, the intent behind them still constitutes a violation. It's crucial to adhere to the rules at all times, regardless of the outcome.
7.2

VDM - Vehicle Deathmatch.

Deliberately harming or killing another player or damaging their belongings by using a vehicle without a valid reason within roleplay. Examples:

Baseless Road Rage: Two players get into a minor traffic altercation, such as a fender-bender. Instead of resolving the situation through roleplay or communication, one player escalates by aggressively ramming their vehicle into the other repeatedly.

  • Pedestrian Targeting: A player drives their vehicle onto a crowded sidewalk, intentionally mowing down pedestrians (fellow players) without any roleplay justification or reason.
  • Random Vehicle Ramming: Without any prior interaction or roleplay engagement, a player repeatedly rams their vehicle into others on the road, causing damage and harm for no discernible roleplay purpose.
  • Property Destruction: A player drives their vehicle through a populated area, crashing into buildings, parked cars, and other structures without any valid roleplay reason, purely for the sake of chaos or disruption.
  • Hit-and-Run: After a roleplay interaction, one player decides to abruptly leave the scene by running over another player's character with their vehicle, causing injury or death without justification.
7.3

NLR / Death / Respawning

If you have been downed by another player and were brought to the hospital, then you may not return to the initial location for 15 minutes. You are also not allowed to return to the situation that led to you being downed, even if it has moved location.

As a general rule of thumb, if you get fully downed (lying on your back), your memory of anything that has happened in the last 15 minutes is blurry or non-existent. There are, however, exceptions to this. These exceptions only apply if you were helped by EMS. If you have to respawn/" airlift, " you may never remember any details leading up to you being downed.

If you were downed by a melee or environmental factors and picked up by EMS, you may remember everything. For example, if someone fully downed you with a baseball bat and an ambulance came to your rescue, you are still allowed to remember everything, within your best RP judgment.

Even if you are allowed and able to remember details, you always have the option to choose not to if it makes sense for your RP/storyline. This will, however, not get you out of being charged by the police. Even if you don’t remember a scenario, you can still be charged.

If you wish to permanently kill off your character (Character Kill / CK), you must first receive approval from a member of Staff and coordinate the situation with EMS before proceeding. You may not perma a character without notifying both Staff and EMS beforehand.

This allows Staff to document the character's removal from the server properly and ensures EMS can roleplay and process the situation appropriately. If you have not discussed the perma with Staff and EMS beforehand, you may place your character into a coma and then contact both parties to arrange the permanent death roleplay.

Failure to follow this process may result in the perma being considered invalid and subject to administrative review. It is also important to remember that the decision to perma a character is always yours and cannot be forced upon you by someone else.

  • If an explosion or a gunshot downed you, you may only remember vague details, such as the color of their outfit or vehicle. You may not remember specifics such as names, license plates, and voice.
  • If you are pushed and fall to your death (another player causing fatal damage to you), the same rules apply, and you’re only able to remember vague details.
  • Cops can always remember any details that they said on the radio since this information would have been passed on to dispatch. Cops may also remember any scenario caught on a live bodycam or security camera.
  • You may never respawn/”Air Lift” as a way to avoid RP. - If found doing this, disciplinary action will be taken against you, no questions asked.
  • Character Perma-Death (CK) Policy
  • When a character is perma’d, this decision is permanent within NOKEY Community.
7.4

Not Valuing Life (NVL)

Respect for Life: Just like in the real world, it's important to respect the sanctity of life in our virtual interactions. This means always considering the consequences of your actions on yourself and those around you, just as you would in real life.

Example: Imagine you're in a scenario where someone points a gun at your character. Instead of trying to be a hero or engaging in reckless behavior, it's essential to prioritize your safety and comply with the demands, just as you would in a real-life situation.

Hostage Situations: In situations where hostages are involved, whether you're playing as a law enforcement officer or a criminal and civs, it's imperative to value the lives of those being held captive. This means ensuring their safety and well-being as much as possible, even while pursuing objectives within the game.

Example: If you're playing as a criminal and have hostages, it's crucial to treat them with care and consideration, provided they cooperate with your demands. However, if they become uncooperative or pose a threat, the dynamics may change.

Avoiding Recklessness: Engaging in actions that endanger yourself or others purely for entertainment purposes goes against the spirit of NOKEY RP. Whether it's intentionally harming your character or your friends' characters, such behavior is not permitted.

Example: Deliberately putting your character or your friends' characters in harm's way, like jumping off buildings or getting into dangerous situations without a valid reason, is not allowed. It disrupts the immersive experience for everyone involved.

Self-Harm RP: It's important to remember that our virtual world should be a safe and positive environment for all players. Engaging in roleplay that involves self-harm is never acceptable, as it can be triggering and harmful to both yourself and others.

Example: Roleplaying scenarios where your character inflicts harm on themselves, such as cutting or other forms of self-injury, are strictly prohibited. We aim to foster a supportive community where everyone feels comfortable and respected.

By upholding these principles of valuing life in our virtual interactions, we can create a more immersive, respectful, and enjoyable gaming experience for all players within NOKEY RP. Remember, our actions within the game world can have real impacts on others, so let's strive to make them positive and meaningful.

  • In our virtual world, it's crucial to uphold the value of life, both your own and others'. Let's delve deeper into what this means and provide clear examples.
7.5

Rule of 6

  • You may never initiate a fight, crime, shootout, etc. with a group exceeding 6 members. This includes all crimes.
  • The only exception to this is if you’re currently in a larger group and someone else initiates on you.
  • If one of your 6 members is downed, headpops, or becomes otherwise unavailable after the crime has started, you may not add another person to your group.
  • Police have their own rules and standards, which are classified, that may allow them to have more police on scene than there are criminals.
7.6

Combat Logging

Example: If your character is in the middle of a conversation or a confrontation with other players, you shouldn't suddenly log out of the game to avoid the situation. It's like leaving a conversation abruptly in real life, which disrupts the flow of the game and isn't fair to others involved. Will be banned depending on the situation.

Handling Technical Issues: If you experience a game crash or encounter technical problems that force you to disconnect, it's essential to inform the relevant parties promptly. You can do this by using the /ooc command within the game or reaching out on the NOKEY RP Discord to let others know what happened.

Example: If your game suddenly crashes while you're in the middle of a roleplay scene, you should quickly inform others about the issue using the appropriate channels and/or use OOC when back in-game to let the following people in the scene know you are coming back and/or not going to be able to make it. This way, they understand why you disappeared and can continue the roleplay accordingly.

Returning to Roleplay: Once you've resolved the technical issue and can reconnect to the server, it's important to rejoin the ongoing scenario as soon as possible. This ensures that the roleplay continues smoothly without unnecessary delays.

Example: After fixing the technical problem and logging back into the game, you should return to where you left off in the roleplay scene. This way, you can pick up where you left off and continue contributing to the storyline.

Prohibition of Respawning During Active Scenarios: If your character is involved in a situation where they're in police custody or engaged in any other active roleplay scene, you're not allowed to respawn or disconnect until that scenario concludes.

Example: If your character gets arrested by the police or is part of a tense negotiation with other players, you can't simply respawn and avoid the consequences. You need to stay engaged until the situation is resolved within the storyline.

  • Regarding combat logging and other details about it.
  • Staying Connected During Roleplay: It's important to remain connected to the game server during roleplay situations. This means not disconnecting or respawning to avoid engaging in ongoing roleplay scenarios.
  • By adhering to these guidelines, we ensure that everyone has a fair and enjoyable roleplay experience without interruptions or unfair advantages. It's about maintaining integrity and respect within NOKEY.
7.7

Metagaming

Guidelines Regarding Metagaming:

We enforce strict regulations to prevent metagaming, which involves using information obtained outside of roleplay to gain an unfair advantage. To ensure fair play and maintain immersion, please adhere to the following guidelines:

External Information Usage: Under no circumstances should information acquired outside of roleplay, including from sources such as Twitch streams, Discord, or the internet, be utilized within roleplay scenarios. The sole exception to this rule applies to Discord channels within official NOKEY servers that are explicitly designated as "in character." However, it's crucial to note that such information may be character-specific and should not be shared or utilized by other characters, as doing so constitutes metagaming.

Non-Advantageous Information Usage: Even if the obtained information doesn't directly confer an advantage, its utilization still qualifies as metagaming. Therefore, it's imperative to refrain from incorporating any external knowledge into roleplay interactions.

In-Game Information Limitations: Certain details learned within the city environment may also be considered metagaming if they surpass your character's knowledge. For instance, if someone hands you an item and the game notifies you with a message like "Default Danny gave you...," refrain from using the name provided, as your character wouldn't possess such knowledge.

Restrictions on Law Enforcement: Law enforcement personnel are prohibited from deducing crimes based on player counts, online statuses displayed on phones, or similar external indicators. Our city, modeled after Los Angeles, is densely populated, and assumptions drawn from such data are deemed unfair and unrealistic.

Stream Watching Prohibition: Engaging in streaming content consumption while actively participating in the city is strictly prohibited, particularly for law enforcement officers and criminals alike. This measure ensures that gameplay remains fair and free from external influences.

Voice Communication Limitation: Participants engaging in criminal activities are prohibited from being in active voice calls with their associates. This regulation aims to prevent unfair coordination and maintain the integrity of in-game interactions.

  • We emphasize these guidelines to foster a level playing field and uphold the immersive experience for all members of our community. Failure to comply with these regulations may result in disciplinary action.
7.8

Powergaming

Prohibition of Exploitative Roleplay Mechanics:

We strictly prohibit the exploitation of game mechanics or abilities to gain an unfair advantage within our roleplay environment. This includes, but is not limited to, the following actions:

Unrealistic Vehicle Usage: Engaging in a police chase and utilizing vehicles from personal or public garages is strictly prohibited. Instant vehicle access during such scenarios grants an unfair advantage and undermines the integrity of roleplay.

Abuse of /me and /do Commands: Avoid manipulating scenarios by excessively using /me and /do commands to dictate unrealistic situations. Allowing room for input from fellow players and maintaining open-ended interactions is paramount. Unrealistic scenarios, such as claiming to have explosives strapped to one's chest without mutual consent, are strictly forbidden.

Unrealistic Scene Placement: Placing scenes that have unrealistic roleplay, such as labeling a door as "Locked" without proper justification, is prohibited. Scenes should serve to inform, describe, or explain, rather than provide an unfair advantage.

Prohibition of Warlord Behavior: Exploiting game mechanics such as tasing or tackling to indefinitely keep a player subdued on the ground is strictly prohibited. Such actions lack a reasonable countermeasure and deprive the affected player of agency within the roleplay environment.

Consensual Use of /carry: Utilizing the /carry command to forcibly kidnap another player without their consent is forbidden. Any kidnapping scenario must involve proper incapacitation, restriction, or cuffing of the target player.

Financial Coercion: Players are prohibited from coercing others into withdrawing money from ATMs, conducting bank transactions, transferring ownership of assets, or making purchases against their will. Demanding vehicle keys, however, is permissible.

Restriction on Bulletproof Equipment: The use of bulletproof helmets, tires, props/emotes, and illegal vehicle armor is strictly prohibited. Additionally, modifying vehicles with weapons through mechanics is not permitted.

  • Limitations While Handcuffed: Players under arrest with handcuffs are restricted from tackling, carrying, or utilizing radios.
  • We enforce these regulations to ensure fair and immersive role-playing experiences for all participants within our community. Violations of these rules may result in disciplinary action.
7.9

Low Quality Roleplay

In NOKEY RP, we prioritize genuine and immersive roleplaying experiences. This means steering clear of low-quality roleplay tactics that detract from everyone's enjoyment. Let's break down what this entails in simpler terms.

Forced Conflict RP: We believe in natural and meaningful interactions between characters. That means starting fights or hurling insults without reason isn't considered real roleplay. Imagine if you're playing a game of pretend with your friends; you wouldn't just suddenly start arguing for no apparent reason, right? Instead, you'd engage in conversations and actions that make sense within the context of the story.

Example: If your character bumps into someone on the street, instead of immediately resorting to a fight, you could roleplay a conversation about what happened and perhaps find a peaceful resolution or continue with a more organic storyline.

Misuse of Emergency Features: In NOKEY RP city, we have features like /911 or /311 meant for emergencies within the server roleplay storyline. But using these features just to seek attention or to insult the virtual police or emergency services isn't allowed. It's like crying wolf – it disrupts the flow of the game and isn't fair to others who might genuinely need help.

Example: If your character witnesses a crime or needs urgent medical assistance in the game, using /911 or /311 would be appropriate. However, randomly spamming these commands to annoy others or disrupt gameplay isn't acceptable.

Respecting Character Backgrounds: We encourage players to stay true to their character's story and background. Pretending to know intricate details about police procedures when your character has never been an officer doesn't make sense. Just like in a book or a movie, each character has their own history and abilities.

Example: If your character has always been a mechanic, it wouldn't make sense for them to suddenly know how to handle police SOP’s. Stick to what makes sense for your character's past experiences and skills.

Realism in Gameplay: We aim to keep our city consistent and believable. This means adhering to realistic rules, like not making drop-offs while being chased by the virtual cops. It's like playing by the rules of a board game – you can't just change the rules midway through to benefit yourself.

Example: If your character has a stolen boosted car and is being pursued by the police, it wouldn't be realistic or fair to suddenly drop off the car somewhere while the chase is ongoing. Instead, you'd need to lose the cops first before attempting any such actions.

By adhering to these guidelines, we can all contribute to a more enjoyable and inclusive roleplaying environment in NOKEY RP. Remember, the essence of roleplaying is about creativity, cooperation, and mutual respect for everyone's virtual adventures.

7.10

Character Blending

Ensuring distinct identities for your characters within our roleplay environment is essential for maintaining immersion and fairness. Here are comprehensive rules to uphold character separation:

Information Isolation: It's crucial to keep each of your characters completely separate from one another. This means they should not share any information, knowledge, or experiences, as if they were entirely unaware of each other's existence. This prohibition extends to both in-game communication and out-of-game discussions.

Business and Affiliation Exclusivity: Your characters must remain uninvolved in each other's professional and social spheres. This includes refraining from participating in the same businesses, social circles, or criminal organizations. Each character should have their own distinct network of contacts and affiliations to prevent any overlap.

Asset Integrity: Transferring assets, whether it's money, properties, or other valuables, between your characters is strictly prohibited. Each character should independently earn and manage their resources within the confines of the roleplay world. This ensures fairness and prevents any undue advantage gained through cross-character transactions.

By adhering to these rules, you contribute to a more dynamic and authentic roleplay experience for everyone involved. Should you have any questions or concerns about maintaining character separation, our staff are available to provide assistance and clarification.

  • Guidelines for Character Separation.
7.11

Intrusive RP

Do not intrude on a scenario that you have nothing to do with. Do not follow a police chase if you are not involved. Do not walk into an active robbery situation. This also includes disrupting the scene with your own commentary.

8

Exploits and Modifications

8.1

Exploits and Modifications

  • You are not allowed to use any third-party or FiveM client software that may give you an advantage. (No 100k or Die visual graphic pack needs more detail; open a ticket)
  • You may use shaders and visual enhancements that do not give you an advantage. You are also allowed to bind commands to keybinds and Stream Decks for more convenient access.
  • Macroing, autoclickers, and other forms of third-party automation are not allowed.
  • If you discover an exploit, you should immediately report it in a ticket through Discord. If found exploiting a bug, it will result in an immediate ban and removal of anything gained from the exploit.
9

Criminal Roleplay

9.1

Gangs

  • Gang rules apply to both gangs and verified gangs.
  • Remember that there is more to gang RP than shooting and gang wars. Gangs do not have to be hostile. Verified gangs are especially expected to bring high-quality roleplay to the city.
9.2

Robberies and Heists

You must wait 3 minutes at all crime scenarios that require cops. The only exception to this is House, ATM, and Parking Meter robberies. Even if you fail to rob the location, forget necessary items, etc you MUST wait the full 3 minutes inside the store once the act of breaking in has begun.

During a robbery, criminals may only have 1 main escape vehicle at the scene of the initial robbery. The primary vehicle cannot be a motorcycle. Criminals are allowed to have a second backup vehicle hidden somewhere away from the robbery scene.

Water-evading is not allowed. Do not jump or drive into the water with the intent to hide in the water and use it to evade. This goes for evading both cops and other crimes. You are allowed to drive your vehicle into the water, but you must return to shore instantly.

Wearing a mask means you cannot be identified by your face. You can never identify someone using their voice. If someone is wearing a hat, mask, or helmet which fully covers their head, you may not identify the color of their hair if it clips through.

  • The Rule of 6 applies to all crimes.
  • Robberies are defined as any robbable entity that is not a Heist. Heists are as specified and are subject to change: Vangelico, Bank, and more to be announced
  • You must wait 5 minutes between crimes that require cops, including meter and ATM robberies.
  • If cops arrive within the 3-minute window, there must be proper interaction before attempting to flee the scene. If cops do not arrive within the window, you are free to flee.
  • Do not use garages to instantly swap vehicles.
  • Never use vehicles to block doors to aid your escape plan.
  • You may use hostages in robberies to get demands (see Hostage rules below).
  • Criminals and Cops must actively participate in negotiations when said criminals are robbing or doing a heist.
  • After committing a crime and successfully getting away, you must wait 5 minutes before changing your outfits.
  • There will be no Ocean dumping; this also includes deep rivers as well as lakes. If you are caught, you will receive repercussions
  • You may not use a motorcycle as your initial getaway vehicle from a robbery.
9.3

Hostage Situations

  • The longest a criminal can hold someone hostage is as long as they want until the job is completed.
  • During an active bank or store robbery, if another player enters, you have a right to take them hostage.
9.4

Cops should meet all types of demands as long as they are reasonable. Do not make demands that are harassing or overly sexual, such as removing items of clothing.

Willing hostages are not allowed under any circumstances. A willing hostage is defined as any player who intentionally agrees OOCly or ICly to act as a hostage for the sole purpose of benefiting another player, group, robbery, or criminal scenario without legitimate roleplay reasoning.

Examples of disallowed behavior include, but are not limited to:

Hostages must be organically obtained through roleplay and must reasonably value their life and safety at all times. Any hostage scenario found to be staged, pre-arranged, or lacking realistic roleplay may be voided by staff and may result in administrative punishment.

  • Willing Hostages
  • Friends volunteering to be taken hostage for robberies or negotiations.
  • Players accepting payment or rewards to act as a hostage.
  • Gang or organization members intentionally serving as “fake” hostages for their own group.
  • Setting up hostage scenarios purely to gain leverage against law enforcement.
  • Using alternate characters or acquaintances as disposable hostages.
9.5

(ONLY WHEN THEY ARE ON DUTY)

Effective September 27, 2026:

The only exception is the officer’s body camera, which may be taken through the appropriate interaction within the pocketing or through proper RP using:

  • Law enforcement officers (PD) may not be ROBBED while on duty. Players may not take weapons, equipment, money, or other belongings from an officer.
  • /me takes body camera
  • Kidnapping Law Enforcement: Players may kidnap an on-duty law enforcement officer only when there are more than 5 officers on duty at the time.
  • Please make sure all interactions remain within NOKEY RP rules and are supported by proper roleplay.
  • (This is temp until we iron things out)
  • Players may only rob the same person once every 6 hours (once per tsunami)
  • Players cannot force their victims to withdraw cash from an ATM or go inside their property to rob them.
  • Players cannot force their victims to sell property or vehicles to meet demands.
9.6

Impersonation and Government equipment

You are not allowed to steal government vehicles. This includes, but is not limited to, fire trucks and any Ambulances driven by NPCs. You can only use a government vehicle if it’s the only getaway vehicle in the area and you must swap vehicles or ditch it quickly. You may never use military vehicles.

You are not allowed to rob EMS workers. You are also not allowed to possess any items that are available only to EMS workers. If someone hands you an item that you think may be restricted EMS, please open a ticket immediately.

  • You may never wear clothing items that say anything related to the Police or EMS on them, or any other government entity.
10

OOC Terminology and Immersion

10.1

OOC Terminology and Immersion

OOC terminology and immersion-breaking terms include referencing the server rules with variations of “You’re being very powerful right now”, making a prayer”, going to the Bahamas”, “That’s some freakin’ rancid pie”, and “You’re not valuing your life right now”. You should never mention server rules whilst in the city. If you think someone is breaking the rules, then you should make a clip and make a ticket in Discord. If your hostage isn’t valuing their life, shoot them. Let the scenarios play out. Don’t respond to rulebreaks by breaking the rules yourself.

  • Do not use OOC terminology or immersion-breaking terms whilst in the city. If you have to talk OOC, then it must be done outside of the city.
  • You should not discuss other “cities/counties”.
  • Do not mention “the angels' ', “the gods' ', etc. To reference NOKEY in-game staff, please refer to them as either Government or senator. or “Fairygod parents”
  • You should not refer to your other characters as cousins or alter egos.
  • Thank you for taking the time to review the NOKEY FiveM Server Rules. If you have any questions or need clarification, please open a ticket; our staff team will be happy to assist you.
  • Enjoy your time in NOKEY. Find out in roleplay, create unforgettable stories, and build your legacy!
  • NOKEY Staff Team
  • Please note: The NOKEY staff Team reserves the right to update, amend, or clarify server rules at any time. Staff discretion may be applied in situations where circumstances fall outside the scope of the written rules.
  • Any rule changes will be publicly announced and include both the previous and revised versions of the rule to ensure transparency and clear communication with the community.
11

Gang Rules and Home Turf

11.1

Overview

The NOKEY Staff Team reserves the right to update, modify, clarify, or expand any server or community rule at any time to maintain a fair, immersive, and enjoyable roleplay environment for all members. While our rules are designed to cover the vast majority of situations, staff may exercise reasonable discretion when addressing circumstances that are not explicitly outlined within the written guidelines.

To ensure transparency, any changes made to server or Discord rules will be publicly announced. These announcements will clearly identify both the previous version of the rule and the updated version so community members can easily understand what has changed and why.

Please note that NOKEY RP (FiveM) and NOKEY COUNTY (RedM) operate under separate rule sets. Although certain policies and expectations may overlap, each server maintains its own standards, gameplay mechanics, and community guidelines. It is the responsibility of every community member to review, understand, and follow the rules applicable to the server they choose to play on.

Non-approved gangs, also known as player groups, aren't officially recognized and don't have control over specific areas. They must still follow certain rules, but there are exceptions, such as not having to adhere to turf rules.

If another gang does something against yours, it's important to be sure before seeking revenge. As an approved gang, it's expected that you handle situations realistically through roleplay and attempt peaceful solutions before resorting to violence.

For example:

Castle Rule:

Purpose:

  • Ga‘
  • By participating in either community, you acknowledge and agree to abide by the most current version of the applicable rules and policies for gang roleplay within NOKEY.
  • Last time rules were updated: 7/16/2026
  • NOKEY Gang Rules
  • Approved gangs are those permitted by staff after a careful review process. Before you get your spray, you must verify within NOKEY.
  • Gangs or groups should only engage in illegal activities with a maximum of 6 members, unless it's a prearranged gang war. Always stick to the rule of 6, no exceptions.
  • HOME TURF — CASTLE RULE
  • When an organization owns a turf, all active members of that organization are permitted to defend it while it is under attack.
  • The defending organization may use all available members to protect their home turf.
  • There is no limit on the number of defenders who may respond to an active home turf attack.
  • Defenders must respond through legitimate RP and must be connected to the organization defending the turf.
  • Members may not intentionally camp or remain in the turf solely to force an engagement when no attack is taking place.
  • Once the turf attack has ended, members must disengage.
  • The Castle Rule applies only to the organization that owns the turf and is actively defending it.
  • Attackers must follow the server's normal turf, combat, and engagement rules.
  • The Castle Rule allows organizations to fully defend their home territory and creates meaningful conflict over turf ownership without placing an artificial limit on the number of defenders.
12

Gang Wars and Territory Conflicts

12.1

Overview

  • Gang Wars & Territory Conflicts
12.2

1. Gang War Definition

A gang war exists when two or more gangs or organized groups engage in repeated hostile actions, including but not limited to shootings, kidnappings, assaults, robberies, raids, or other acts of violence against one another.

  • After the second hostile incident between the same groups within 24 hours, all further conflict must stop until staff approval has been obtained.
  • Failure to stop conflict after the second incident will be considered a severe rule violation.
12.3

2. Membership Requirement

  • A player must be a member of a gang for a minimum of seven (7) consecutive days before participating in any gang war, territory conflict, or officially sanctioned gang operation.
  • No exceptions.
12.4

3. Staff Approval Requirement

Gang leaders must submit the following:

  • No gang war, territory war, turf war, retaliation campaign, or organized conflict may occur without prior staff approval.
  • Gangs involved
  • Allies involved
  • Reason for the conflict
  • Desired objectives
  • Territory involved
  • Proposed Rules of Engagement (ROEs)
  • Staff reserves the right to approve, deny, modify, suspend, or terminate any conflict at any time.
  • Staff decisions are final.
12.5

4. Rules of Engagement (ROEs)

  • All approved gang wars must have staff-approved ROEs.
  • ROEs are legally binding server rules for the duration of the conflict.
  • Violating an approved ROE is considered a severe rule violation and may result in administrative punishment.
12.6

5. Response Requirement

  • When staff notifies a gang leader of a proposed conflict, that leader must respond within forty-eight (48) hours.
  • Failure to respond may result in staff ruling on the matter without their input or canceling the request entirely.
12.7

6. Roleplay Requirement

  • All gang wars must originate from legitimate in-character roleplay.
  • Out-of-character disputes, personal disagreements, revenge for administrative actions, or any conflict motivated by events outside the server are strictly prohibited.
  • Staff may request evidence of roleplay justification at any time.
12.8

7. Identification During War

  • During any approved gang war, all participating gang members must wear clearly identifiable gang-affiliated clothing, colors, patches, uniforms, or other staff-approved identifiers.
  • Failure to be properly identifiable may result in removal from the conflict or administrative action.
12.9

8. Cooldown Period

  • Upon conclusion of a gang war, all involved gangs enter a mandatory twenty-four (24) hour cooldown period.
  • No new gang war involving those gangs may begin during this cooldown.
  • No retaliatory attacks, proxy attacks, or attempts to circumvent the cooldown are permitted.
12.10

9. Administrative Authority

Staff may:

These cooldowns are cumulative and apply to every consecutive organization bleed-out. The purpose of this policy is to encourage commitment to organizations, maintain meaningful consequences for character actions, and prevent players from rapidly cycling between organizations after being removed through roleplay.

  • End any conflict immediately
  • Modify ROEs
  • Remove participants
  • Suspend territorial claims
  • Declare a neutral territory
  • Deny future conflict requests
  • Issue punishments for violations
  • Attempting to exploit wording, technicalities, omissions, or perceived loopholes in these rules will be treated as a rule violation.
  • If a situation is not explicitly covered by these rules, staff will make a final ruling. Staff interpretation is final and binding.
  • 10. Organization Bleed-Out Policy
  • First Organization Bleed-Out: A 14-day (2-week) cooldown is required before joining another organization.
  • Second Organization Bleed-Out: A 21-day (3-week) cooldown is required before joining another organization.
  • Third and All Subsequent Organization Bleed-Outs: A 30-day cooldown is required before joining another organization.
12.11

Voluntary Bleed-Out Requests

If a player is requesting a bleed-out due to an organization rule violation, internal dispute, or desire to leave the organization, they must:

  • Open a staff ticket prior to the bleed-out being approved.
  • Provide sufficient evidence supporting the reason for the requested departure.
  • Obtain staff approval before the bleed-out proceeds.
  • Any attempt to bypass this process or leave an organization through a bleed-out without staff authorization may result in the request being denied and/or administrative action being taken.
  • Failure to comply with any portion of this policy may result in disciplinary action and additional cooldowns at the staff's discretion.
12.12

Memory Wipe Upon Organization Bleed Out

Upon being bled out of an organization, all organization-related knowledge is considered lost and may no longer be used in roleplay. This includes, but is not limited to:

Players are expected to roleplay a complete separation from the organization and may not use, share, or act upon any information learned while a member. Any future interaction with the organization must be based solely on information obtained through new roleplay after the bleed-out has occurred.

  • Organization-owned materials, assets, and resources.
  • Weapon stockpiles, stash locations, and inventories.
  • Drug operations, recipes, processing methods, distribution routes, stash locations, and supplier information.
  • Safehouses, properties, and storage locations.
  • Internal operations, plans, and ongoing activities.
  • Organization finances and business dealings.
  • Member identities, ranks, associations, and internal structure.
  • Rivalries, alliances, agreements, and organization-specific relationships.
  • Any other information obtained through membership in the organization.
  • Violation of this policy will result in administrative action.
13

Territory Challenge Cooldown

13.1

Rule

During this cooldown:

  • Once a territory challenge has concluded—whether through victory, defeat, withdrawal, or staff intervention—a 20-minute cooldown begins.
  • No new territory challenge may be initiated against the same gang or for the same territory.
  • Gangs may not repeatedly challenge a territory in an attempt to overwhelm defenders.
  • Gangs may use this time to regroup, roleplay the aftermath, treat injuries, replenish supplies, or negotiate.
13.2

Purpose

This cooldown is intended to:

  • Encourage meaningful roleplay between conflicts.
  • Prevent continuous "spam" challenges.
  • Give both organizations time to recover and prepare.
  • Reduce repetitive PvP and improve overall server balance.
  • Allow law enforcement and civilians an opportunity to participate in the wider server without constant gang conflict.
13.3

Prohibited Behavior

The following actions are considered violations:

  • Immediately re-challenging a territory after losing.
  • Alternating gang members to bypass the cooldown.
  • Using an allied gang to initiate a challenge on your behalf during the cooldown.
  • Deliberately delaying the end of a challenge to avoid the cooldown timer.
  • Coordinating multiple back-to-back challenges to deny another gang any downtime.
13.4

Staff Discretion

  • Gang Management may waive or modify the cooldown during staff-approved events or special storylines. Any attempt to intentionally circumvent this rule may result in disciplinary action against the gang.
14

Organisation Alliances

14.1

NOKEY Org Alliances Rules and Guidance

Gang alliances exist to create meaningful stories, diplomacy, long-term rivalries, and collaborative roleplay. They are not intended to create dominant organizations, bypass server rules, or prevent other players from participating in server content.

  • All alliances are expected to enhance the roleplay experience for the community while maintaining fairness, balance, and opportunities for everyone.
14.2

1. Alliance Limit

  • An approved gang may maintain one (1) official alliance with another approved gang at any given time.
  • Temporary partnerships involving additional organizations require prior approval from Server Management and must serve a legitimate in-character role-play purpose.
  • Mega alliances, coalitions, or networks of multiple gangs formed to increase manpower, control server content, or gain an unfair advantage are prohibited.
  • Organizations may not repeatedly create, dissolve, or rotate alliances to bypass this limitation.
14.3

2. Alliances Must Be Established Through Roleplay

Examples include, but are not limited to:

  • All alliances must develop naturally through in-character roleplay.
  • Peace negotiations
  • Mutual business interests
  • Shared enemies
  • Family or historical relationships
  • Formal agreements between leadership
  • Out-of-character agreements, Discord conversations, or relationships that exist only outside the server do not establish an alliance.
  • Server Management may request evidence that an alliance was developed through roleplay if necessary.
14.4

3. Alliances Are Dynamic

An alliance may end because of:

  • Alliances should evolve naturally through roleplay and are not intended to be permanent.
  • Betrayal
  • Business disputes
  • Territory conflicts
  • Leadership changes
  • Broken agreements
  • Any other meaningful in-character development
  • Server Management may require modifications or dissolution of an alliance if it negatively impacts server balance or the quality of roleplay.
14.5

4. Shared Operations

Examples include:

  • Allied organizations may work together when it serves a legitimate in-character purpose.
  • Joint criminal ventures
  • Sharing intelligence obtained through roleplay
  • Exchanging resources
  • Attending meetings
  • Coordinating business interests
  • Planning operations together
  • Participation in a joint operation does not exempt any organization from server rules, including participation limits, retaliation rules, or other gang regulations.
  • Organizations may not use alliances to gain an unfair numerical advantage or circumvent server rules.
14.6

5. Backup & Conflict Participation

Members of an allied gang may only become involved when:

  • An alliance is not automatic permission to participate in another organization's conflict.
  • They have a believable in-character reason to participate.
  • Their involvement is communicated through legitimate in-character methods whenever reasonably possible (phones, radios, face-to-face communication, etc.).
  • Their participation complies with all applicable server rules.
  • Alliance status alone is never a sufficient reason to respond to a conflict.
  • Responding solely because someone contacted you through Discord or another out-of-character platform is prohibited.
  • Organizations may not use alliances to overwhelm smaller groups or consistently outnumber opposing organizations.
14.7

6. Territory

However:

  • Allied gangs are expected to respect one another's established territory.
  • An alliance does not transfer ownership of territory.
  • One organization may not permanently occupy or claim another organization's territory through an alliance.
  • Territorial disputes between allies should be resolved through roleplay.
14.8

7. Criminal Responsibility

  • Each organization is responsible for its own actions.
  • An allied organization is not automatically responsible for another gang's crimes simply because an alliance exists.
  • However, a gang may be held responsible when it knowingly participates in, plans, coordinates, transports, supplies, scouts, or otherwise materially assists a criminal operation through roleplay.
  • Staff will evaluate the totality of an organization's involvement when determining responsibility.
14.9

8. Police Investigations

  • Law enforcement may investigate alliances based solely on information their characters obtain through legitimate in-character roleplay.
  • Gang members should not assume law enforcement knows about an alliance unless that information has been discovered through roleplay.
  • Likewise, organizations should not assume an alliance is completely secret simply because it has not been publicly announced.
14.10

9. Recruitment

Allied organizations may not:

  • Recruit active members directly from one another. (You may suggest things, but do not force them upon the active member in the other org)
  • Pressure members to transfer organizations.
  • Merge memberships or operate as a single roster without prior staff approval.
  • Members wishing to change organizations must do so through meaningful in-character roleplay.
14.11

10. Alliance Abuse

The following are considered abuses of the alliance system:

  • Creating alliances solely to gain an advantage in combat.
  • Using alliances to monopolize criminal activities or territory.
  • Consistently overwhelming rival organizations through superior numbers.
  • Preventing other organizations from participating in server content.
  • Coordinating through out-of-character communication to gain an advantage.
  • Using alliances to bypass participation limits or any other server rule.
  • Splitting members across multiple organizations to avoid gang restrictions or disciplinary action.
  • Attempting to circumvent the intent of these rules may be treated as alliance abuse.
14.12

11. Dissolving an Alliance

When an alliance ends:

  • The separation must occur through meaningful in-character roleplay.
  • Immediate hostility or attacks without appropriate roleplay are prohibited.
  • Conflicts arising from a dissolved alliance should develop naturally rather than be driven by out-of-character disagreements.
  • Server Management may intervene if it appears the conflict is no longer roleplay-driven.
14.13

12. Staff Authority

Server Management reserves the right to:

  • Approve, deny, suspend, or dissolve any alliance.
  • Limit alliance privileges during server events.
  • Require additional roleplay before recognizing significant alliance changes.
  • Investigate potential alliance abuse.
  • Issue gang strikes or other disciplinary action for violations of these rules.
14.14

Alliance Philosophy

  • The strongest alliances create memorable stories—not larger fighting forces.
  • They should encourage diplomacy, betrayal, business, negotiation, rivalry, and meaningful roleplay that benefits the wider community.
  • An alliance should increase roleplay opportunities for everyone, not reduce them.
15

Community Standards and Gang Limits

15.1

Community Standards

Repeated behavior that negatively reflects upon an organization—including toxicity, harassment, out-of-character hostility, poor sportsmanship, or repeated violations of community standards—may result in disciplinary action against both the individual and, where appropriate, the organization.

  • Gang members represent their organization whenever they are participating in the NOKEY community.
  • Gang leadership is expected to address member misconduct. Failure to do so may result in organizational accountability under the Gang Strike Policy.
15.2

Gang Member Limits

  • Approved gangs may have a maximum of 20 total members, including all prospects.
  • Non-approved gangs (player groups) may have a maximum of 10 total members.
  • Organizations may not create secondary gangs, affiliate groups, or alternate rosters to circumvent these membership limits.
15.3

Zero-Tolerance Violations

The following violations may result in the immediate suspension or permanent removal of an organization's approved status:

  • Cheating or the use of unauthorized software.
  • Exploiting bugs or unintended game mechanics.
  • Item, vehicle, or currency duplication.
  • Large-scale metagaming.
  • Organized stream sniping.
  • Ban evasion.
  • Hate speech or discriminatory conduct.
  • Threats, intimidation, or harassment directed toward players or staff.
  • Coordinated attempts to disrupt the server or its community.
  • Any organized effort to intentionally circumvent server rules or administrative action.
  • Server Management may immediately suspend a gang's privileges during an investigation. Final disciplinary action will be determined based on the severity of the violation and all available evidence.
16

Minimum Roleplay Interaction Before Violence

16.1

Minimum Roleplay Interaction Before Violence

  • To promote meaningful and immersive roleplay, all gang-related violence and player-versus-player (PvP) encounters must include a minimum of two (2) minutes of interaction before any physical violence or gunfire occurs.
  • This rule intends to encourage communication, tension, negotiation, intimidation, and character development rather than immediate violence.
16.2

What Counts as Interaction?

Examples of acceptable interaction include:

  • Face-to-face conversations
  • Demands or ultimatums
  • Negotiations
  • Threats or intimidation
  • Arguments or verbal confrontations
  • Debt collection
  • Territory disputes
  • Attempting to de-escalate or resolve the conflict
  • Any other meaningful in-character dialogue that progresses the scene
  • Simply yelling "Hands up!" and immediately opening fire does not satisfy the interaction requirement.
16.3

Exceptions

The two-minute interaction requirement does not apply in the following situations:

  • A player is actively shooting at you or your group.
  • You are defending yourself or another player from an immediate threat.
  • An active pursuit or ongoing gunfight is already taking place.
  • A staff-approved event or storyline has different rules.
  • The interaction is a direct continuation of an uninterrupted RP scene that has already met the interaction requirement.
16.4

Prohibited Behavior

The following are considered rule violations:

  • Opening fire immediately upon seeing a rival.
  • Initiating violence without allowing the other party a reasonable opportunity to respond through roleplay.
  • Using the minimum interaction time as a countdown before attacking, regardless of how the scene develops.
  • Manufacturing meaningless conversation solely to satisfy the two-minute requirement before initiating violence.
16.5

Rule Intent

The two-minute interaction rule is designed to create memorable roleplay, not to prevent conflict. Players should use this time to build tension, negotiate, intimidate, or escalate the situation naturally. Violence should be the result of the roleplay—not the starting point.

  • Staff may use discretion when reviewing incidents and will evaluate the overall quality of the interaction, not just whether two minutes elapsed on a timer.
17

Organisation Accountability and Strikes

17.1

Whitelisted/Non Whitelist Org Accountability

Gang leadership is responsible for the overall conduct of its organization. Leaders are expected to:

Note: Leaders are not automatically responsible for every individual mistake made by a member. Staff will consider the frequency of incidents, the severity of the behavior, whether leadership took reasonable corrective action, and whether the organization demonstrates an ongoing pattern of rule violations.

  • Enforce all server rules within their organization.
  • Address member misconduct in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Cooperate fully with staff investigations when requested.
  • Promote quality, story-driven roleplay over "winning" interactions.
  • Resolve internal and external conflicts professionally and respectfully.
  • Gang leaders are accountable for repeated patterns of misconduct by their members when they fail to take reasonable steps to prevent, address, or correct those issues.
  • Failure to properly manage an organization may result in additional administrative action, including suspension or removal of leadership privileges.
17.2

Strike Expiration

  • Gang strikes expire only if no additional gang-related rule violations occur during the applicable period.
  • Strike 1: Expires after 30 consecutive days without additional gang-related violations.
  • Strike 2: Expires after 60 consecutive days without additional gang-related violations.
  • Strike 3: Does not automatically expire and remains on record until reviewed by Server Management.
  • If a new strike is issued before a previous strike expires, the expiration timer for existing strikes may be reset or extended at staff discretion.
  • Server Management may extend strike durations if an organization continues to demonstrate repeated misconduct, fails to address ongoing issues, or attempts to circumvent the strike system.
17.3

Appeals Process

Org leaders may appeal a strike by:

  • Submitting a written appeal within 7 calendar days of the strike being issued.
  • Provide any relevant evidence, including videos, screenshots, or other supporting material.
  • Participating in a meeting with Server Management if requested.
  • Submitting an appeal does not pause, delay, or remove the strike while the appeal is under review.
  • Server Management will review all available evidence before reaching a decision. All appeal decisions are final.
17.4

Goal of the Strike System

  • The purpose of the Gang Strike System is to encourage accountability and improve the overall quality of roleplay—not to punish organizations unnecessarily.
  • Organizations that acknowledge issues, work with staff, correct behavior, and consistently demonstrate positive, rule-abiding roleplay can return to good standing over time.
  • The strike system is intended to protect the roleplay environment for the entire community by promoting fairness, accountability, and long-term improvement rather than punishment alone.
18

Minimum Roleplay and Escalation

18.1

Minimum Roleplay & Escalation Before Violence

  • Violence should be the result of roleplay, not the starting point.
  • Before initiating gang-related violence or player-versus-player (PvP) combat, players are expected to engage in meaningful in-character roleplay that allows the situation to naturally develop.
  • Except where an exception applies, a minimum of two (2) continuous minutes of roleplay interaction must occur before intentionally initiating physical violence.
  • The purpose of this rule is to encourage communication, negotiation, intimidation, and character development before conflicts escalate.
18.2

Meaningful Interaction

Examples include, but are not limited to:

The interaction must be genuine and meaningful. Using roleplay as a formality to justify violence, or initiating conflict simply because you are (OOC / IC) bored, seeking PvP, or avoiding immersive roleplay, is considered poor roleplay and may result in administrative action.

  • Meaningful interaction includes roleplay that genuinely advances the situation.
  • Face-to-face conversations
  • Demands or ultimatums
  • Negotiations
  • Threats or intimidation
  • Debt collection
  • Territory disputes
  • Business disagreements
  • Interrogations
  • Attempts to resolve or de-escalate the conflict
  • Any other in-character dialogue that meaningfully progresses the scene
  • Creating filler conversation, intentionally stalling, or speaking solely to satisfy the time requirement is considered rule circumvention.
  • Simply yelling "Hands up," giving a countdown, or immediately issuing demands before attacking does not satisfy this requirement.
19

Whitelisted Organisation Requirements

19.1

Overview

Whitelisted Organization are orgs that have been recognised by the city. This means that they will have access to a Faction Boss Menu and other in-game features and systems. Listed below are some requirements:
